Putting a face to the name
Written by admin on January 7, 2009 – 2:38 pm -Macworld 09 kicked off in San Francisco today with Philip Schiller giving the Keynote. One of the features announced for iPhoto 09 is the inclusion of face detection which allows you to sort your photos by identifying people in your photos and the software will automatically scan your photo library suggesting other possible photos of that person you’ve just named.

Soon we’ll be able to search the internet for people not only by text but by facial features as well. Scary or not, I’ll leave that up to you.
** iPhoto is part of the iLife suite of applications that runs on Mac OS 10.5. It’s included in every new Mac free of charge.
